Decadent Peanut Butter Chocolate Mud Pie

Ingredients:

For the Crust:

1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs (such as Oreos)

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

For the Chocolate Layer:

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup heavy cream

For the Peanut Butter Layer:

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Whipped Topping:

1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream

3 tablespoons powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For Garnish (Optional):

Chocolate shavings

Chopped peanuts

Peanut butter drizzle

Directions:

Prepare the Crust:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, mix the chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish. Bake for 8-10 minutes, then let cool completely.

Make the Chocolate Layer:

In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the chocolate chips and heavy cream in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth. Pour the chocolate mixture over the cooled crust and spread evenly. Refrigerate until set, about 20 minutes.

Prepare the Peanut Butter Layer:

In a large mixing bowl, beat the peanut butter, powdered sugar, softened butter, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Spread the peanut butter layer evenly over the set chocolate layer.

Make the Whipped Topping:

In a chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Spread the whipped cream over the peanut butter layer.

Garnish and Chill:

Garnish the pie with chocolate shavings, chopped peanuts, or a drizzle of peanut butter, if desired. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the layers to set.

Serve:

Slice and enjoy this rich, creamy, and indulgent dessert.
